GENERAL Our electronic regulated, thyristor controlled DC power supplies of the series DT are, depending on the output current / power available, air- or water cooled, are very robust and highly reliable. The power supply can be operated manually on the front panel or remotely.
In addition, all sensitive electronic parts are housed in a separate enclosure (protection class IP 54) inside the main cabinet providing protection from possible air pollution. Our electronic thyristor controlled DC power supplies are environmentally friendly, very easy to maintain and have a wear resistant voltage & current regulation.
CABINET DESIGN: The cabinet is made of a robust frame with a lockable front door and removable side panels. The complete cabinet is treated with phosphor and covered with a corrosion resistant powder to provide excellent corrosion protection.
When opening the front door of the cabinet the following is easy accessible: - 24 VDC internal supply - Regulation transformer - Regulation fuses - Over current detector - Phase sequence relays - Isolation power amplifier - Regulating breakers - Regulating unit
In addition, built into the unit are: - Air or water cooled secondary thyristor with a controlling / regulating unit - Air or water cooled main transformer - Air or water cooled resistor(s)
POWER SUPPLY PROTECTION AC input protection: The unit is protected at the AC input with semiconductor fuses
DC Output over load protection: In current regulation, the output current will be regulated automatically to the set value. In voltage regulation, the output current will be limited to the max. output current.
Short circuit & flash over protection: In case of a short circuit or flash over on the load, the power supply will automatically limit the current to 25% of the max. output current.
Over temperature protection: Each power supply module has two thermal switches. If the temperature exceeds the cooling body temperature, the affected module will switch off immediately. A red LED on the module indicates the failure. The LED “THERM” on the unit and on the remote control is lit red. If the power supply is operated with a remote control, a failure announcement contact on the remote control announces the failure. If the affected module cannot supply the required current, the LED “CHECK” will flash in addition. After a cool down period, the affected module will supply the required current again automatically.
Power semi conductor protection: All power semiconductor devices are protected by over voltage protection

POWER SUPPLY CONTROL AND REGULATION - The power supply can be operated in constant voltage or constant current mode.
- With a switch on the front door, constant voltage or constant current or automatic (automatic selection of constant voltage and constant current by the unit) can be selected.
- DC Voltage & Current can be set with potentiometers on front door between 0 and 100%
- Monitoring of actual voltage and current at the output
WATER COOLING Integration in existing cooling systems / heat recovery. All power components, secondary thyristors, main transformer, resistor(s), etc. are cooled directly by water.
