REGATRON's TopCon DC power supplies offer excellent dynamic qualities, high data resolution and outstanding efficiency compared to any other power supply on the market.

One of the most important features is the true 'real time processing' performed by the TopCon power supplies, avoiding time glitch and jitter and thus providing excellent data stability and reproducibility.
Almost all other power supply manufacturers run their SAS-Software mainly on a peripheral PC-system, which is not able to handle data in real-time. Therefore, the data stream is not time consistent and will degrade the quality af any data analysis.

When using SASControl PC software, data acquisition and managing is completely performed by the TopCon power supply in real-time mode, and then subsequently transmitted to PC visualization sub programs.

Based on this concept is REGATRON's unique full-digital architecture of the TopCon power supply family, driven by three independent microprocessors. This versatile concept opened up first experiments a few years ago in close collaboration with the worlds leading manufacturers of DC-ACconverters and test facilities.
Step by step, the functionality of the system was enhanced in order to offer a system which is able to meet all reasonable requirements of developers, testers and manufacturers of solar inverter products.

Our close contacts to manufacturers of DC-AC-converter technologies have proven, that two basic concepts presently exist on the market:
- The first one tracks the MPP (Maximum Power Point) by analyzing the induced mains ripple
- The second uses approximation techniques.
Furthermore, there are solar cells of different electrical characteristics available, each having a different dynamic behavior.
Therefore, to cover all respective needs, we offer two basic types of products:

a) Standard TopCon power supply with a built-in Function generator (TFE) and Application Area Programming (AAP) feature, are designed for non time-critical inverter categories and simulation of large solar panel arrays

    b) Standard TopCon power supply with a built-in Function generator (TFE) and Application Area Programming (AAP) feature plus a post processor unit type TC.LIN - the world's fastest full-digital controlled power system for time critical applications. By using a special pre-regulation technique, power losses in the post processors series regulator are kept to an absolute minimum, combining a fast response time with the reduced power losses.

    When comparing REGATRON's TopCon system to any other products, not only the above stated qualities and advantages are of importance.
    Furthermore, the system offers a system versatility grown over years in close contact with various companies in the solar application field.
    This means field-proven solutions, a comprehensive consulting and a proverbial after-sales support, the ability to power-up and match the system by additional functional blocks, to enhance the firmware by REGATRON's upgrade service and other advantages represented by a full digital system.

    TC.SAScontrol SOFTWARE
    The TC.SASControl is running on an external PC and is intended to control and parameterize system functions and sequences. SASControl is highly specialized for development and tests of DC/AC converters by simulation of solar cell arrays. This software operates with RS232 or USB interfaces. Significant more functionality with regards to solar applications is provided by the software package SAScontrol. This software allows for the implementation of all functional demands such as MPP (Maximum Power Point) Tracking Algorithm, Manipulation of U/I slopes, Simulation of daily radiation patterns / sequencing of slopes, Tests based on EN 50530 and / or Sandia Labs standards.
    NOTE: The TFEAAPControl has a level IV functionality. However, in order to have full control of the IV curves and if a full range of IV testing is necessary (Sandia, EN50530), the TC.SASControl software is required.

    STANDARD TopCon DC POWER SUPPLIES
    NOTE: Parallel and series operation as well as matrix and multi load operation are available. Each unit in its basic design can be used individually as master or slave as required.
